Ethiopia Mokasida
This Ethiopian Mokasida is organic and shade grown. It consists of heirloom Arabica varieties that grow wild in the Kambata, Sidamo and Wolyata region. It is quite different from the other regions, in that it is smoother and sweeter, rather than acidic. Historically, Ethiopia is known as the birthplace of coffee and there are many varieties of coffee cultivars grow throughout the country. This particular coffee is grown, picked and processed on hundreds of small 1-2 acre family garden farms. These small farms utilize the traditional method of intercropping several agricultural products under the shade of the forest canopy and the coffee is sun dried and natural processed.

At Tree Frog Coffees, we know just how important frogs are as indicators to all sorts of environmental problems. Frogs can only survive in a proper ecosystem, so when the frogs start dying, there is a problem.
This is one of the main reasons why Tree Frog Coffees only purchases beans from farms that are using sustainable and ethical methods. Not only is this better for the frogs, but the entire ecosystem, which of course includes us.
We’re saving the frogs and the farmers, one cup at a time!
